General Questions

The Scouts Program offers a youth-led program, in which Scouts pave their own path to outdoor adventure and fun; selecting and planning the activities they want to pursue; surrounded by committed and passionate Scouters who create a safe and inclusive environment.

Along the way Scouts develop the skills, values and character that will guide them through every future adventure, at every stage a life. The perfect place for kids to be kids, memories are made and friendships are forged through the countless campfires, hikes and overnight camps.

The 392nd Scouts provides quality programming based on Scouts Canada’s National Canadian Path program, incorporated with Islamic values and teachings. The 392nd Thornhill Muslim Scout group caters to youth ranging from 5 – 18 years of age. Quality program development and execution is essential to meet the specific goals and requirements in each of the age categories.

Currently as a Group we provide numerous weekend camping excursions in each season of the year, for all our Sections. In addition the Troop & Venturers are given the opportunity to attend a week-long camp up in the Halliburton area, to experience living in the Canadian wilderness.

In addition to regular camping, the Group facilitates adventures based on requirements for the different sections. Examples of physical activity adventures include hiking, canoeing, kayaking, skating, arts & crafts, participating in local Scouting activities and competitions, and more. The Group attends local community events, visits Police/Fire departments, as well as volunteers during Mosque programs at the various Islamic Shia Ithna-Asheri Jamaat of Toronto centres.

Registration can be completed by the Scouts Canada registration page.

A detailed and thorough guide on the steps to register can be found on our website via the Join Scouts page.
